At the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs. C. W. HOOVER, Des Moines on January 17, Lillian M. TENNANT, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. G. A. TENNENT, of Mount Ayr, and O. L. PETTERSON of Marshalltown, were united in marriage by Dr. Charles S.
Medbury, of the University Place Church of Christ. They will make their home in Marshalltown, where Mr. PETTERSON
holds a responsible position with the C. A. Durham Company.
SHADY GROVE -- Mr. and Mrs. Will HAMBLIN are the proud parents of a baby girl, born January 10.
KELLERTON -- Art PIKE has purchased R. J. MILLER'S brick barn just east of Main Street, where Mr. MILLER
now conducts a livery and feed barn. Mr. PIKE will be given possession February 1, and then will remodel the barn
for a garage, which he will open in the spring. ~ ~ ~ ~Mr. and Mrs. Guy WILSON are the
proud parents of a daughter, born to them on January 14. ~ ~ ~ ~Those who will appear on
a program to be presented next Saturday evening at the M.E. Church will be Marie MANNING, Ruth PEASLEY, Ariene MOULTON,
Hallie MYERS, Thelma MOULTON, Dorothy TREICHLER, Gertrude and Bernie HAYES, Clyde FARMER, Madge MANNING, Vergie
MYERS, Jennie BUCHANAN, Gracie PEASLEY, Carla FRISBY, Kathleen McCARTNEY, Raye FRISBY, Leland DALBEY and William JONES.
Bert F. PALMER went Wednesday to Des Moines to take a position as assistant clerk in one of the departmenst of the
legislature.
DELPHOS -- Born, January 12, to Mr. and Mrs. Guy FISHER, a son.
At the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs. Sarah CASE, of Mount Ayr, on January 20, occurred the marriage of L.S. RYAN,
youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. John RYAN, of Ellston, and Pearl BUELL, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles BUELL,
of Ellston. Rev. R. M. SHIPMAN, pastor of the Methodist Church of this place, officiated. After a wedding tour, they
will be home at Ellston, where Mr. RYAN is engaged in farming.
