Another Christmas Window Walk was held to rave reviews around the Mount Ayr square Saturday night.

Four Mount Ayr Community high school students were named to the Southwest Iowa Bandmaster's Association district honor band auditions in Red Oak Saturday. Making the ninth and tenth grade band was sophomore trumpet player David Lawhead. Making the 11th and 12th grade band were junior Nathan Smith, tuba; junior Mike Shafer, trombone; and senior Bryan Schafer, baritone.

Kevin Triggs, a Mount Ayr area farmer, was named president of the Iowa Spotted Swine Association at the group's annual meeting held in Des Moines December 13.
