RETOLD OLD NEWS

Mount Ayr Record-News
Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa
Thursday, April 18, 1991

by Chanse Hall, Mount Ayr Record-News

Nicole Denney, daughter of Larry and Janis Denney of Mount Ayr, was named as Ringgold County Beef Queen.

Faye Howie, high school chemistry and physics teacher, has been nominated for the program of the National Science Foundation Awards program.

Break-ins overnight April 13-14 at the homes at Loch Ayr, just north of Mount Ayr, resulted in a lot of broken glass at the mobile home of Clyde Bailey of Chicago, but nothing was taken there. The other break-in was also on the west side of the lake. Just south of the Bailey property, the cabin of Melvin Adams was entered and a micro-wave, an AC-DC television set and a toaster oven were taken.

Obituaries in this issue:

Sarah Edith Supinger   Ethel Woollums   Francis A. McNeiley
Shelley Ann Crenshaw   Hazel Stephens   Roy Beal
