Kay KESTERSON, who will serve as manager of a Dog 'n Suds drive-in being constructed by her father, Keith ROGERS,
in east Mount Ayr on Highways 2 and 169, recently completed an intensive training session at the Dog 'n Suds
headquarters in Champaign, IL.
Jack ELLIOTT of Benton and Barton ABARR of Redding were elected directors of the Mount Ayr Community
School District for terms of three years each at the regular election held Monday. Royce DAVIS was
re-elected treasurer for a two-year term, commencing July 1, 1965.
In the Grand Valley
Community School District election held Monday. Norman ELSWICK, incumbent director, was elected over Jack
PADGITT from Director District No. 1. Roy JONES, unopposed, was re-elected director from Director District No. 4.
Orr ALLEN was re-elected treasurer for a two-year term.
Sharon PRIEST, who had been employed for the past two years in the office of the Northern Propane Gas Compnay in
Mount Ayr, recently accepted employment in the office of the Greater Community Hospital in Creston. Miss PRIEST
is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vern PRIEST of Omaha, NE, formerly of Mount Ayr and Kellerton.
