Ringgold county is 400 horses richer following the arrival here this week of that number of animals to be adopted by area
residents from the wild horses rounded up on the plains, where they are too plentiful. For a year, the horses will be kept
together and fed and pastured in the county before adopters can sell their horses. The sight of so many horses together
has been a hot topic of conversation. The horses vary in quality, with some surprisingly good animals among the free
horses. Doyle RICHARDS is heading up the horse project.
