Ringgold county auditor Kim O'MAILIA turned in her resignation to the Ringgold county board of supervisors Tuesday,
Oct. 7. O'MAILIA has accepted a position with Incode-CMA in Ames as a countygoverment software installation and support
representative. O'MAILIA will begin that position on Monday, Nov. 3. Incode-DMS is the software and support system
used in Ringgold county.
Shear Excellence at 102 N. Taylor Street in Mount Ayr was welcomed by the Mount Ayr Chamber of Commerce with a ribbon
cutting on Friday. Rhonda JOHNSON, owner of the salon,is a licensed massage therapist. Those on hand for the cutting
were Randy McDONNELL, Dawn DOLECHECK stylist, Rhonda JOHNSON, owner and stylist, Bill ARMSTRONG, Jim DEUTSCH and Vicki
SICKELS.
Marcy RUMPLE and all three of her children are a family that recognize the importance of giving blood to save lives.
When RUMPLE'S father, Don SOLLIDAY, a 15-gallon donor, could no longer donate because of health issues, he encouraged
RUMPLE to give blood. At the last Mount Ayr blood drive event, Marcy RUMPLE as well as her sons, Scott and Joe, were
donors and daughter, Morgan, joined the family as a first-time donor. Joe and Scott RUMPLE now both live in Arizona while
Morgan is a student at Mount Ayr Community high school.
A Mount Ayr resident has been appointed Junior Grand Stewart of the Grand Lodge of Iowa, A.F. & A.M. Michael K. WIMER was
appointed to the positions by Robert H. ERICKSON, Grand Master of Masons in Iowa, and was installed to his office during
the state convention in Des Moines in September.
