The issue bringing the most discussion by the school board Monday night focused on the resignation of Joan Noble, who has served as school board secretary for 25 years and has also been treasurer in recent years.
Mount Ayr Community high school's chorus received a division II rating in the annual Worlds of Fun vocal festival Saturday.
Agents from the state Department of Criminal Investigation were interviewing area residents this week as [an] investigation into the fire at the Mount Ayr Community school and vandalism incidents continues this week. Law
enforcement officials had nothing new to report about the investigation this week.
Both the Raider and Raiderette track teams swept the competition at the district meet.
Football schedules for the Raider football team will take on a whole different look beginning in 1992 as the Iowa High School Athletic Association has moved to district football beginning in the fall of 1992.
