Kenneth McKAY and Harold CRAWFORD of Mount Ayr are included among seven Register and Tribune carriers of this district who are enjoying an all-expense paid trip today (Thursday) to Kansas City, MO.

Thirty-two 4-H members and counselors attended Camp Ringadu held Wednesday through Saturday at the State 4-H Camp near Madrid. This was the fourth consecutive year for activities at Camp Ringadu, named for the three counties, which it embraces Ringgold, Adams and Union since its establishment.

Twelve horses and riders of Mount Ayr appeared in the grand entry of the Guss Saddle Club horse show held Sunday afternoon.

With a score of 82, Kenny MARKLEY qualified Tuesday for the championship fight of the state Junior Chamber of Commerce golf tournament being held at the Dode Park course in Council Bluffs.

Seven Mount Ayr area women placed in the money in the Iowa State Women's Bowling Association Tournament held this year from February to May in Fort Dodge. Those who received the cash awards were: Doris FETTY, Margaret BISHOP, Mary BAGLEY, Ruth POWELL, Beulah HARTMAN, Merill McCULLOUGH and Wanda Adams.

  • a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lee ARMSTRONG
