Three Diagonal students and one Mount Ayr Community student qualified for the state individual speech contest held in Osceola. Tony Wiley, Niki Goodale and Brandi Goodale advanced with their entires for Diagonal while Erin Budach advanced for Mount Ayr Community.

"Up the Down Staircase" will be the spring drama production at Mount Ayr Community high school.

A Clearfield pork producer served as a delegate at the Pork Act delegate assembly in Anaheim, CA recently. Steve Kerns of Clearfield was one of the delegated to the meeting named by U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Mike Johanns in January.

Mount Ayr Raiders placed 12th at the state bowling tournament.

Born, a girl to Tracy and Brandy Anderson, March 3.
