RETOLD OLD NEWS

Mount Ayr Record-News
Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa

Kasey Dredge, Mount Ayr Record-News

When Ringgold County voters take to the polls Tuesday, November 2, there will be three candidates running for two open positions on the Ringgold County board of supervisors. Republican David INLOES will be the holdover member of the board of supervisors. Incumbent Republican Wayne KEMERY, incumbent Democrat Royce DREDGE and Republican Jim GOINS are running for the two open positions.

Tricia HENRY and Michael INLOES were crowned homecoming royalty to the Mount Ayr Community high school homcoming activities held last week.

It was a happy homecoming for the Raiders with a 55-6 win over Wayne. The Raiders spotted the Falcons six points, then went on to a dominant scoring barrage that brought a running clock for the second half of the game.

Rod SHIELDS was named board president, several personnel matters were handled, additional laptop computers purchased and an early gradutation request were discussed when the Mount Ayr Community school board held its regular meeting Monday night.

Mount Ayr Community's Raiders ran to a third place finish in the Pride of Iowa Conference cross country meet in Greenfield Monday night.
