Raymond BARKER, proprietor of the Sinclair Service Station, has taken over the Sinclair trucking service, which has been handled by R. L. MERRILL
Ringgold county 4-H girls who appeared on a program March 7 over KFNF, Shenandoah, were Eunice SHEUMAKER, county 4-H girls' president; Dorothy BIRD,
1939 county health champion; Elizabeth BUTLER, member of the 1939 champion demonstration team; and Ardith WEBB, member of the Silver Sailors Club.
Mildred TRIMBLE, secretary to Supt. W. H. McFARLAND, has accepted a position in the office of Dr. J. W. HILL.
Raymond FERREE and Hugh FOSTER were re-elected as director and treasurer, respectively, of the Independent School District of Mount Ayr, at the
election held Monday in Mount Ayr. Fifty-six votes were cast, of which Mr. FERREE received 54 adn Mr. FOSTER, 52.
The Jack Spratt Store, which has been in operation at the Mount Ayr Fruit & Vegetable Market, was transferred Saturday to another town. Mr. BUTNER
will continue to operate the fruit and vegetable market.
Donella RHOADES, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clair RHOADES, will tour during spring vacation with the a cappella choir of Drake University, Des Moines.
A sophomore in the Fine Arts College at Drake, Miss RHOADES is majoring in piano.
Mrs. Gretchen TODD began work this week at the Mowry Beauty Shoppe.

NORTHWEST GRANT - Born, March 8, to Mr. and Mrs. Maurice HANSON, a baby daughter, who has been named Sandra Kay.
HATFIELD - Mr. and Mrs. Everett SUITHERLAND are the happy parents of a fine baby daughter who arrived March 7.
