Mr. SHAW was recently graduated from the Xenia Theological Seminary at Pittsburgh, PA and received his A.B. degree from Grove City College. While a student at the seminary, he served as acting pastor in the United Presbyterian Churches at Mars, Rometown and Plumer, PA. Mr. and Mrs. SHAW are now at home in the manse in Mount Ayr.

A prayer service for Charles Michael and Gregory LeRoy PETERMAN, infant twin sons of Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. PETERMAN, 215 West Park, Nevada, MO, was held Monday afternoon, June 27. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Glenn BEAR of Kellerton and Dr. and Mrs. L. S. DUGAN and Charles Ray PETERMAN of Rich Hill, MO.

A total of 3,715 persons signed their names in the guest register in the lower corridor of the courthouse during the centennial celebration in Mount Ayr, according to Mrs. Charles W. LAWHEAD, chairman of the hospitality committee. They represented 32 states, Washington, D.C., Canada and Korea. Many more visitors are known to have failed to record their names.

Ringgold county will be included on the intinerary for the visit in Iowa of the agricultural delegation from the Soviet Union. The delegation, which includes 14 Russian agricultural officials and technical experts, will visit the Ralph LONG farm four miles northwest of Mount Ayr on the old Diagonal-Mount Ayr road. Mr. and Mrs. LONG will explain the operation of their "family type" farm.
