Two Mount Ayr Community high school large group speech entries in the state speech contest in Council Bluffs Saturday brought home division I rating. Bringing home the top ratings were the one act play entry and the essemble acting entry.

For the second year in a row, Elliott Farms of Ringgold county has brought home the district title in the Iowa Master Corn Grower's contest. The district winner, which was also the top entry in the Ringgold county contest was for a yield of 189.54 bushels per acre.
