Dr. Dan Weddle and incumbent Don Stephens won school board seats in the Mount Ayr Community school district. Tom Giles and Michael Stuck won uncontested seat in the Grand Valley school district,
while Rick Morse had two more write-in votes than his closest opponent for the open seat in the Diagonal Community school district.
More than 350 members of the Rideta Electric Cooperative attended the annual meeting of the organization at the Mount Ayr Community elementary school Thursday, September 5.
Three Ringgold county students at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO are curretly student teaching or preparing to student teach at area school systems. Douglas Newton of Diagonal
will be student teaching in industrial technology; Racinda Jackson of Kellerton will be student teaching in elementary education in Mount Ayr; and Kris Quick of Tingley will be student teaching in elementary education.
