Don Solliday was honored Friday night for walking the sidelines of the football games for 40 years helping keep track of the placement of the ball and the first downs.

Mount Ayr Community high school's Raider football team broke into the top 10 in the Class 1A football ratings by the Des Moines Register this week. The unbeaten Raiders were ranked 10th in the state after their victory over Pella Christian Friday night.

Chris King finished fifth and Lindsey Triggs finished fifth to be medalists in the conference with ther finishes at the loop meet in Bedford where every Raider and Raiderette runner set personal bests and two school records were set. Chris King set a new school record of 16:41 and Lindsey Triggs broker her own school records with a time of 15:30 in the meet.
