Several Ringgold county workers are expected to be affected by the announcement of the closing of the Jimmy Dean plant in Osceola.
Debbie Smith of Beaconsfield was crowned 1992 Ringgold County Pork Queen at the annual meeting of the Ringgold County Pork Producers here Thursday night.
Students of the Mount Ayr Community High School will be transitioning to eight period days instead of seven for the 1992-93 school year.
The Raiderettes finished out the season 19-5, marking the best record season since the 20-4 record in the 1986-87 season.
