With the county fair quickly approaching, everyone was looking foward to Mount Ayr's first ever thrill show. Events
included a ramp-to-ramp leap, motor polo, Roman steeplechase, human bomb, and the feature attraction: the triple
loop-the-loop death car leap. This stunt will be performed by Irish daredevil Christopher O' Reilly.
A tractor accident occured in the Rice township, seriously injuring Ray LAIRD. The tractor started inexplicabley, catching
Mr. LAIRD and dragging him along behind it into a collision with a windmill. The neighbor who witnessed the accident
called the ambulance found Mr. LAIRD pinned underneath the tractor with the gas level in full force. He was taken to
the hospital with several broken ribs, a leg injury and a few gashes to the head.
