The work of installing the new switchboard recently purchased by the Mount Ayr Mutual Telephone Company, was begun
Saturday. There will be 400 town drops, connections for 42 farm lines and with the underground wiring it is anticipated
that troubles will be a memory.
REDDING -- Glady GLEASON, graduate of the Mount Ayr High School, has been hired for our school for the 1914-15 year.
The Oakland Circle picnic will be held Wednesday. A. L. STEPHENS, president of this circle, will deliver the
opening address. Rev. W. H. CABLE will serve as toastmaster and an address will be given by H. A. FULLER. There will
be many other features of interest, including a dinner at noon and sports in the afternoon.
