Nicole HOGUE, daughter of Randy HOGUE of Mount Ayr and Jacquie and Keith BENNETT of Clearfield, and Chance GREENMAN,
son of Kirk GREENMAN of Mount Ayr and Carme LILIENTHAL of Johnston, were crowned homecoming royalty for the Mount Ayr
Community high school homecoming activities held last week.
The daughter of a Mount Ayr resident was crowned Miss Moniteau County, MO, recently. Whitney FELL was
crowned Miss Moniteau County at the Ozark Ham and Turkey Festival held in California, MO. FELL is the daughter of
Eric FELL of Mount Ayr and Lori WATSON of California, MO, a former Mount Ayr resident.
An area postmaster will be
retiring after 38 1/2 years of service with the United States Postal Service. Betty CONLEY of Mount Ayr, postmaster
at the Clearfield post office the past four years, retired officially Wednesday, Oct. 2.
A ribbon cutting marking the new
ownership of Mount Ayr Vision Clinic was held recently by the Mount Ayr Chamber of Commerce. Sandy ARMSTRONG is now
owner-optician of the business located on the east side of the square. She purchased the business from Precision
Optical as of August 1.
