A Ringgold County resident will be one of the Iowans of the Day at the Iowa State Fair this year. Shelley Bentley of Diagonal will be honored on the opening day of the fair.

The third production of the new muscial "Farmer Song" by Joe Hynek and Angie Hynek will be performed at the Iowa State Fair.

The Faris family reunion quilt show was held in memory of Martha Faris who died in 2004.
