Larry Ford was named to the board of supervisors and Karen Schaefer was named county recorder when Ringgold county voters went to the polls for the general election Tuesday.
The fall musical performed at the Mount Ayr Community High School is "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers." It is to be performed this weekend.
A new children's book, written by the sister of a Redding woman, has recently been published and author Sami Cowsert of Clinton, MO., was in Mount Ayr at the public library last week to sign copies. "Tammi and Her Dragon" is written by Cowsert, who is the sister of Colleen Kelly and sister-in-law of Tom Kelly of Redding.
