Discussion on moving to a middle school concept in the Mount Ayr Community school district and just what grades would be involved is continuing. At a district study committee meeting last week, principal Matt Patton
reviewed the components of the middle school concept, which the district plans to move toward with seventh and eighth grades next year.
Two Ringgold county anglers have been invited to received the 2005 Iowa Big Fish Angler award at the Eastern Iowa Sports, Boat, RV and Vacation Show in Cedar Falls. Thayer Brown and David D. Handy are the winners.
Three entries from Mount Ayr Community high school and five from Diagonal Community high school will advance to the state individual speech competition in Osceola Saturday, March 18.
"All's Fair" is the name of the spring play by the Mount Ayr Drama Club.
