Robert WALKER of Kellerton will go to Pakistan as an International Farm Youth Exchangee. He has just received
his assignment from the National 4-H Club Foundation in Washington, D.C. He is one of eight Iowa young people
selected for the outbound phase of the International Farm Youth Exchange program this year. Robert is the first
Ringgold youth to have the honor of being a youth exchangee. Six exchangees from other counties have lived with
families in this county since the program was inaugurated. Robert will graduate from Iowa State College in June.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyman WALKER of Kellerton.
Howard NIMMO of Monroe assumed his duties Monday as an instructor in the Mount Ayr schools.
Donald F. DAUGHTON, who received a degree in law at commencement exercises Satruday at the State University of
Iowa, this week was appointed assistant countyattorney of Polk County. Donald is the son of Fred J. DAUGHTON
of this [Mount Ayr] city.
The Mount Ayr Raiders, rated first in the Blue Grass Conference with a 10-1 record, will battle it out with the
Osceola Indians, reated second with at 10-2 record, Friday night to decide who will will the 1955-56 championship.
Mount Ayr has held the title for 10 years and the Raiders will be fighting their best to keep it.
Mr. and Mrs. I. J. DALBEY will observe their 55th wedding anniversaryon Valentine's Day at their winter
residence in Saint Petersburg, FL.
