Donna HEYER of Tingley has been chosen to be one of Iowa's representatives at the second annual session of the National Silver Haired Congress in Washington,
D.C. The session is designed to discuss issues important to older Americans. HEYER recently served in the Older Iowans Legislature, which deals with issues
on the state level.
David PUGH, owner of the Diagonal Progress, has purchased the Afton Star-Enterprise from Donna and Dean HAIGHT. The HAIGHTS had owned the
newspaper for the past 17 1/2 years. PUGH will now be publisher of both newspapers from the office in Afton.
