Merlin WILKINS, English and Spanish instructor in the Mount Ayr Community High School, spoke to approximately 200 mothers and daughters who attended the annual 4-H Mother-Daughter Tea.

300 people attended the Community Conference for Better Driving, which was held in the Mount Ayr school gymnasium.

Art ALLEN was elected president of the Methodist Youth of Ringgold county sub-district during a rally held Sunday afternoon and evening in the Methodist Church in Mount Ayr.

A girls' vocal quintet, which won first place honors in the talent search contest held several months ago in Mount Ayr, will appear on the Bill Riley program April 11, st 5:30 p.m., over KRNT-TV. Members of the group are Sharon WILSON, Diane CALHOUN, Alice MINNICK, Connie QUICK and Patti STUFF. Kay BARNETT serves as accompanist.
