Council member Eldon Still resigned from the council effective at the end of the year, a 40-cent a month increase in garbage rates was approved for July 1, discussion of access to lots owned by Wanda Bennett was held and paperwork on the sewer treatment plant handled when the Mount Ayr city council held its regular meeting Monday night.
A Mount Ayr student is a recent grauate from DeVry University in Kansas City, MO. Timothy Storhoff received his AA degree in electronics and computer technology in October as one of 102 graduates at the fall commencement ceremony.
