The grand opening of the new Skelly super service station, located on the south side of the square,will be held August 14. The station is managed by Claude Moore and his son, Junior.

MALOY - James Carr went Sunday to Ames, where he will work as a pharmacist. His sister, Helen Carr, accompanied him as far as Des Moines, where she has employment.

WISHARD CHAPEL - Lyle Goldner, who had been a student at A.I.B. in Des Moines, has accepted a position in Coon Rapids and began work there last week.

BIRTHS:

  • Born, August 4, to Mr. and Mrs. Howard Sheldon, of the Crown Point vicinity, a son, Joseph Glenn. Weight, 10 and one-half pounds. Born, August 6, to Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Sackett, a son, Larry. Weight, nine and one-fourth pounds.
