Kasey Dredge, Mount Ayr Record-News

Four elected officials were sworn into office at the Ringgold County Courthouse Thursday. County attorney, Clint Spurrier, administered the oath of office to Renda Paxson; county auditor, for her first full term. She was appointed a year ago when Kim O'Mailia resigned. County supervisors Royde Dredge and Wayne Kemery also took the oath of office. This is Dredge's second term and Kemery's first full term. Kemery filled the vacancy position in June 2002 following the oath (sic, should be death) of Lloyd Bedier in March, 2002. Ringgold County Sheriff Bob Bennett administerd the oath of office to his grandson, Mike Sobotka.

Recent Northwest Missouri State University graduate Brad Elliott left a legacy at NWMSU by designing their new logo as his last project for the school. The logo was officially adopted by the board of regents the same day Elliott graduated.
