Preliminary enrollment figures show some gains in enrollment and some slips in numbers for Ringgold county area schools, according to school officials in the four districts. The Mount Ayr Community school district
enrollment is up by 24; Diagonal and Clearfield showed gains and Grand Valley saw an enrollment drop.
When the Mount Ayr Community Raider offense, reloaded for a new season, misfired when quaterback Drew Larsen went down with a broken leg in the second quarter, the Raider defense rose to the occasion.
There is a young man There is a young man from Bergheim, Germany in the area as an exchange student through the educational Foundation for Foreign Study program. Gunnar Oswarld, 17, from a city
of 50,000 people, located in the western part of Germany, will be making his home with the Dick and Maralene Longfellow family during this school year of 1991-92.
