A county corn husking contest will be held some time this fall in Ringgold county and arranging for the event are E. W. DRAKE of Blockton; Roy LEPLEY,
of Maloy; and A. G. MOFFATT, Ned IRVING and R. R. BUCK, of Mount Ayr.
Robert WILKINSON will leave Saturday for Ithaca, NY, where he was accepted a position as part time teacher. At the same time, Robert will also work for his
Ph.D. at Cornell University.
LIBERTY CITY - Congratulations are extended to Mr. and Mrs. Eldon RICKER, who were married August 22, in Mount Ayr.
Compulsory registration of all alien residents of Ringgold county started August 27 and will be conducted until December 26, at the Mount Ayr post office,
according to Peter J. McGRATH, postmaster.
BIRTHS
HATFIELD - The little daughter born recently to Mr. and Mrs. Donald THOMAS will answer to the name of Judy Carmen.
