Two Ringgold County poets were among 309 Iowa writers to have poems selected for publication in the Iowa Poetry Association's 59th anthology. The two writers were Bernice ABARR of Mount Ayr and Donna OLENY HEYER of Tingley.

Brandon WERNER of Shannon City and Jessica PIERCHBACHER of Tingley were selected to participate in Iowa Arts Council State Fair Camera Corps as part of the 150th anniversary celebration.
