Vanette HUNT, 13-year-old daughter of the Frank HUNTS of Diagonal, took a first place in the pre-teen division of the 1980 Make-It-Yourself With Wool contest held Nov. 15 at the Corning high school. She is a Diagonal eighth grader. Vanette had constructed a wool, wine and grey, A-line plaid skirt and grey vest to model in the contest.

Two new directors were elected at the 1980 annual meeting of the Mount Ayr Manor, Inc. group. Earl SCHARDEIN and Elmo ROE were elected to the board of directors.

A hearing has been set for Wednesday, Dec. 10, by the attorney for Charles Loyd TYLER. TYLER, one of three persons charged in the murder of Alberta MICKAEL, has motions filed in his behalf to produce specified evidence, ask for a change of venue to move the trial out of Ringgold county, extend the time before the trial for preparation for his defence and for severance of his trial from the trials of the other two defendants.
