Charles D. Holland, of Billings, MT, has purchased from Harry Spurrier his stock of dry goods, shoes, and
furnishing goods notions, etc., in the Huggins building on the northwest corner of the square. The store will reopen
for business Saturday under the new management. Mr. Spurrier has been engaged in business in Mount Ayr for about
two and one-half years.
Ben Chong and Fong Yu, of Creston, arrived yesterday and are installing the machinery for the Chinese laundry, which will
be conducted in the Timby building on Depot Street. They expect to be ready for business in about a week.
Francis Webster, who has been employed at Halderman and Fuller's, went this morning to Des Moines,where he has
employment.
KELLERTON -- O. C. Wallace, our congenial station agent, has received word that he will be transferred to Forbes
City MO, in a few days. Gorman Allen, who has been employed as helper at the depot here for several weeks, went
Saturday morning to Weston, MO, where he will work as assistant agent.
