Two people were life-flighted by helicopter to Des Moines from Mount Ayr following a two-vehicle accident on highway 2 one-half mile east of Mount Ayr. Devin AXTMAN of Waukee and Richard JOHNSON of Tingley were both injured when AXTMAN'S Honda Accord and JOHNSON'S pickup collided on the highway.
Sharing arrangements were made and board policy discussed when the Diagonal Community school board held its regular October meeting. The board voted to approve a sharing agreement with the Mount Ayr Community school district for the 2005-2006 years.
Several students from The Dance Connection in Mount Ayr will perform during the Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raider football game Sunday. The students performing at halftime will include Kirsten ANDREWS, Maggie BJUSTROM, Tiffany BRUNNER, Megan DOUBLEDAY, Holly ENGLAND, Brianna FLECHALL, Hannah GLENDENNING, Ashton JOHNSON, Taylor LYNCH, Madison MOBLEY, Brook RYCHNOVSKY and Maddi STARK.
