Loch Ayr, the Mount Ayr city water reservoir which currently is not being used to supply water to the city, is included in the Iowa Department of
Natural Resources list of impaired waters.
For the first time in a number of years, the Mount Ayr Community and Clearfield school boards held a joint meeting Thursday, February 24 in Mount
Ayr. Discussion was held about the 28E agreement for whole grade sharing between the two districts.
Four Mount Ayr Community high school FFA chapter teams advanced to district competition from the sub-district contest held at Interstate 35 high school
in Truro, Tuesday, February 22.
