Students in the three Ringgold County area school districts went back to school Wednesday, August 25 in Mount Ayr, Diagonal
and Clearfield. The Mount Ayr Community school plans were to gather around the school flag pole for all of the students to
share in the pledge of allegiance to begin the first school day. Stormy weather meant that the opening ceremony has to
be postponed until Thursday morning, but all the 354 students gathered then for the special ceremony, along with
Ringgold Sheriff Bob BENNETT.
