Andrea LARSEN and Dustin ADAMS were crowned homecoming royalty for the Mount Ayr Community high school homecoming activities held last week. LARSEN, daughter of Bill and Connie LARSEN of Clearfield, and ADAMS, son of Larry and Sherry ADAMS of Mount Ayr, were crowned at Thursday evening ceremonies in the high school gymnasium.

Ringgold County Treasurer;s office received an achievement award recently for working together with other counties to enhance customer service for citizens. Ringgold County Treasurer staff members include Rick WILEY, Kay DOOLITTLE, Ellen POWELL and Beverly NOBLE, treasurer.

Traditional gospel tunes as well as songs about physics class and love gone wrong were heard during this year's Autumn in the Ayr celebration when the Pumptown band gave two performances on the stage on the square in Mount Ayr. The Pumptown Band has its roots in Ringgold county with band members Joe HYNEK and his sisters, Amy and Amanda HYNEK, growing up on a farm near Ellston.
