Kasey Dredge, Mount Ayr Record-News

Loren HICKERSON, of Mount Ayr, and Merle MILLER, of Marshalltown, students at the State University of Iowa, will represent Iowa in the annual international debate with two English college men on November 15, in Oowa City. They will debate the affirmative side of the question, "Resolved, that the United States should follow a policy of complete isolation." HICKERSON is managing editor of the student newspaper and president of the Associate Students of Journalism.

Ringgold County 4-H boys and girls have again shown their ability in fitting livestock projects by winning many honors at the Ak-Sar-Ben Livestock Show held last week in Omaha, NE. Among the winners were Claire and Dorothy BROWN, Maurice O'CONNOR, Darold BLAUER and Duane TRIGGS. Others who participated in the show were George MOFFATT, Park JACKSON, Ivan and Guy OLSON, Jimmy and JoAnne SPENCER, Raymond FOGLE and Marjorie JACKSON.
