A Mount Ayr senior has been named to the 1991 Academic All-State honor roll names by the Des Moines Register. Stacey Jennings of Ellston was among the 60 students from southwest Iowa named to the list in the Des Moines Sunday Register this week.

Amanda Werner, daughter of Steve and Marilyn Werner of rural Shannon City, and a Mount Ayr Community third grader, was an overall winner in Parenting Plus sponsored poster contest.
