In the election held last week at the University of Iowa for the purpose of selecting a senior class orator, Frank WILSON,
son of Mr. and Mrs. B. H. WILSON, of this city, was elected by a large majority and will deliver the senior class oration
during the commencement exercises. Mr. WILSON was one of three candidates for the position and out of a total of 227 votes
he received 143 votes. The class orator will take the place to a certain extent of the valedictorian.
At the home of T. S. RHOADES in Mount Ayr on Wednesday, May 26, at 8:30 o'clock a. m. , occurred the marriage of Miss Goldie
GIBSON and Lee KELLEY, the ceremony being performed by Mr. RHOADES
Mrs. Mary POOR and Mrs. Pearl MAPLE and three children arrived Saturday evening from Hutchinson, Kan. They will make their
home here as Mrs. MAPLE has accepted the position of music supervisor in the Mount Ayr schools.
POE - Miss Edna WILSON has been elected to teach Poe Center school for the coming year.
