The west side of the business district of Kellerton has a new sidewalk, thanks to the effort of a community improvement project. The new sidewalk and curb and gutter were poured this summer and is a welcome improvement to the community.

Greg Storhoff will be the new high school band director, it was announced Monday night.

Julie A. Sickels of Mount Ayr has joined Saint Marys Hospital, Rochester, MN. as a registered nurse.

As Marie Todd of Heritge Park in Mount Ayr was sitting in her wheelchair riding the newly installed elevator at the Mount Ayr United Methodist Curh Sunday morning, July 21, she commented: "I am so glad to be able to be here. I haven't been able to go to church in so long."
