PFC Lloyd Loudon WHIPP, born March 31, 1925 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd A. WHIPP of Lenox, served during World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps, V Amphibious Corps. PFC WHIPP K.I.A., Iwo Jima, March 15, 1945. PFC WHIPP was interred at Clearfield Cemetery, Ringgold County, Iowa.
