IN SERVICE ~ LT. CMDR. ROBERT O. WARD
Navy Lt. Cmdr. Robert O. WARD, son of Deloris M. WARD of Mount Ayr, Commanding Officer aboard the guided missle
cruiser USS Normandy, homeported in Staten Island, NY, recently participated in an emergency night evacuation of a
ferry passenger while on patrol in the Adriatic Sea for NATO Operation Safeguard.
