THE OGIER BROTHERS
William "Earl" and Jessie Edna "BOHALL" OGIER were the parents of eight children. Earl and Jessie spent their entire
lives on their 80-acre farm located 1 1/2 miles south of Kellerton in Athens Township of Ringgold County. Of their
eight children, three sons served during World War II. All three sons attended Athens No. 7 Country School and
were graduates of Kellerton High School.
Clyde Melvin OGIER was born May 2, 1911. He was a decorative wood crafter. Clyde married Catherine MALONEY, a native of
England. Clyde and Catherine lived in Lamoni and were the parents of four children.
During World War II, Clyde served with the U.S. Air Force in the E.T.O.
Ralph Warren OGIER was born October 14, 1924. He was a former college police officer. Ralph married Louise LAIRD on
January 25, 1947, and they were the parents of two children. Louise died in 1980. Ralph resides in Nevada, Iowa.
During World War II, Ralph served with the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific.
Elbert James OGIER was born February 7, 1929. He married on July 28, 1949 to Ruth RUSH, and they were the parents of
four children. Elbert and Ruth reside in Arizona where he was afflilated with the copper mining industry.
During World War II, Elbert served with the U.S. Army in Iceland.
