PVT. RETURN J. CASE

  Return J. CASE, the son of Jacob and Mary CASE, was born in Indiana, and came with his family to Ringgold County, settling in Ringgold City.

Return J. CASE enlisted as a Private on February 27, 1864 and was assigned to Company F of the Iowa Cavalry Regiment. PVT. CASE died of disease at Keokuk, Iowa on November 4, 1864 and was interrred at Keokuk National Cemetery, Keokuk. Pvt. CASE was twenty-years-old at the time of his death.

NOTE: Other records state that Pvt. CASE was interred at Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk.
