2nd Lt. Owen R. BEEDE, born in Kellerton, Iowa, on October 2, 1919, served during World War II with the 3rd U.S. Marine Amphibious Corps. 2nd Lt. BEEDE was K.I.A. on March 6, 1944, Iwo Jima. He was interred at Iwo Jima and reinterred December 16, 1948 at Maple Row Cemetery, Kellerton, Ringgold County, Iowa. He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Owen R. BEEDE of Des Moines.
