Mount Ayr Record News
Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa
Thursday, October 11, 2007

A total of 15 tractors and 25 riders participated in the fifth annual Tingley tractor ride held recently. The weather cooperated beautifully for the event which drew drivers from Greenfield, Earlham, Diagonal, Villisca, Grant, Tingley, Mount Ayr, Clearfield, Kellerton and Hatfield, MO. Riders from out of the area came from Mason City, Urbandale, Ames and Omaha, NE. The tractors left Tingley and went east to Ellston, where they went north and east. They went through Westerville, had lunch at the Silver Spur in Grand River, wound through the country back to Beaconsfield to see the original Hy-Vee store, and then around Sun Valley Lake into Ellston to the Red Brick Winery and back to Tingley. Participants enjoyed the ride and scenery and wanted to be informed of the next tractor ride.
