Hugh Franklin SHOWALTER was born in Ringgold County, Iowa, January 9, 1870, the son of Isaiah Jacob SHOWALTER and Martha Agnes "Mattie" (MILLER) SHOWALTER. He married Nettie Bell BUDLONG on July 12, 1897, and they were the parents of Owen SHOWALTER, born in 1904. Hugh was a barber. He died in Glendale, Los Angeles County, California on December 19, 1951, and was interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Plot: crypt 91271, Sanctuary of Tribute.
