Marcellus FRANCIS, son of Maryland S. and Martha (FAIRBANKS) FRANCIS, was born July 21, 1845, Lawrencebury, Dearborn County, Illinois, and died November 5, 1927, Leavenworth, Kansas. Marcellus married October 28, 1866 to Margaret TOMLINSON, born September 5, 1846, Elkhart, Indiana, and died April 22, 1926, Leavenworth, Kansas. Marcellus and Margaret (TOMLINSON) FRANCIS were the parents of eleven children:
