RESIDENCE of MRS. W. C. MANSON, MOUNT AYR.
Above is a representation of one of the most beautiful residence places in Mt. Ayr, that of Mrs. W. C. MANSON. It was
originally erected as a cottage, but when purchased by Mrs. MANSON it was enlarged to two stories and beautified by the
addition of porches and tower. The main attractiveness however appears on a view of the interior. The rooms are spacious
with high ceilings, the stairway with two commodious landings, equisitely carved fret work.
NOTE: Sarah E. MANSON was born in 1844, and died in 1921.
She was interred at Rose Hill
Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Iowa.
